Nvidia CEO says there won’t be new gaming GPU’s for a long time.

Nvidia last launched it’s consumer GPU’s two years ago – in 2016. So we would expect new GPU’s sometime this year, but Jensen Huang said: “There won’t be any new gaming GPU’s for a long time”. So if you were expecting new GPU’s to be launched at Computex sadly there won’t be any.

The only GPU’s Nvidia has release sine 2016 are Enterprise grade Tesla GPU’s and the TITAN V. Both are based on the new Volta architecture. So gamers have been waiting for a Volta based consumer grade GPU.

Huang didn’t mention how long is “a long time”, but he encouraged people to buy the GTX 1080 and GTX 1080Ti since the prices have dropped.
