What Thermal Paste Should I Buy?

There are a lot of thermal pastes available but which one should you buy? Here are some of the best thermal pastes you can buy.

Thermal Grizzly Kyronaut

This is one of the best thermal pastes out there. Why? Here are some of the reasons why it’s one of the best:

  • Isn’t conductive
  • Has great heat conductivity
  • Doesn’t leave marks

This is really one of the best thermal pastes. It’s easy to apply and if some of it gets on the motherboard you don’t have to worry about it shorting the whole thing. It has great heat conductivity meaning it will give you great temperatures. And also unlike other thermal pastes, it doesn’t scratch the heat spreader on the motherboard or the die. But there is one downside it’s expensive 1 Gram of this stuff costs 13.5 USD.

Arctic Silver 5

This thermal paste is also quite good. Here’s why:

  • It’s Cheap
  • Has great heat conductivity
  • Doesn’t leave marks

13 Grams of Arctic Silver 5 costs about 14 US Dollars this is really good especially since its performance is almost as good as Kyronaut. The downside is that it’s capacitive – meaning that if there are two PCB traces nearby and AS5 is on them it may short!

Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut

This isn’t thermal paste it’s liquid metal. Heres the Pros

  • Has the best performance

Yup, that’s it those are all the Pros. But this stuff is meant for professionals¬†only because it’s electrically conductive, is hard to apply and it also costs 45 US dollar. But if you want the best performance and are willing to risk everything this is the best thing you can get.
