Asus has launched a new ZenBook Pro with a touchscreen for the trackpad. The ZenBook Pro is the flagship laptop for Asus productivity line. The best thing about the touchscreen is that it doesn’t replace any keys on the keyboard, unlike the MacBook Pro touch bar.
I myself wouldn’t probably use because I think it’s a gimmick just like Apple’s touch bar. But some people perhaps would find a use for it.
The touchpad itself is 5.5 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 1920×1080 which is quite good. Other than that it already supports some apps, for example, Microsoft Office. When you’re using Office the touchpad displays the most popular tools and functions in Office and you can tap them. Other than that you can use the touchpad for music controls, calculator.
The ZenBook Pro itself features:
- A Near Bezeless 4K display
- Intel Core I9 Processor
- 16GB DDR4 RAM
- 1TB PCIe SSD
- GTX 1050Ti (non Max-Q)
It weighs 1.88KG and is 18.9 MM thick. It will go on sale in Mid-July. The starting price will be $2,299.
